Holiday Fun 3: ruthlessly culling the books … again

I go through this and three other bookcases at least twice a year, and the books only seem to have multiplied the next time I tackle the project.

  1. Reblogged this on mequinnblog and commented:
I love buying and receiving books for Christmas or birthdays and I’m just not a fan of Kindles or Nooks or all those e-reader devices. I just like to physically hold the actual book itself because it is a great way to start a conversation with someone. You don’t just look over someone’s shoulder while they are on a Nook and say…’hey! That looks like a good book!’. No, I like that people can actually tell what book I’m reading and try to start a conversation with me about it. Just my opinion, call me old-fashioned, but I’m still a fan of newspapers and I’m a 90’s kid! 🙂

  2. Do you have any magic for the culling process?

    • 1.) I’ve read this book.
2.) Am I ever going to look at this book again?
3.) This is a really big book
4.) Why did I ever buy this book?
5.) I am never going to read this book

  3. Also:

6.) Exactly how many cat photo books have people given me?

  4. Regarding #2…I may have to live a lot longer than I ever imagined!

As long as I have you here…see the movie Life of Pi, and then read the book. I’m a fan!
