    • It was that weekend I told you about when we stupidly thought it would be a good idea to drive into The City. Only it was one of those rare humid San Francisco days when the temperatures hit the 90s. And the town was imploding with cars, tourists, detour signs and fleets of Andy Gump porta-potties: The Bay to Breakers race was scheduled to run early the next morning. We were trying to find a short-cut away from bumper-to-bumper traffic downtown, and suddenly found ourselves in the middle of the Castro District on “yard sale!” and Farmer’s Market Day. Obviously, you didn’t need any street signs to tell you that you had landed in the Castro. Although, it was funny that we had one noting so.

  2. I’ve lived in LA for nearly 40 years and never seen anything like this shot.
