Painted ivy

spray-painted-leaves2

Yesterday was the start of a rare rain, which, unfortunately, began on the same day that my son and I decided to drive over to his junior college to purchase his books for the next semester.  Even less fortunate was the fact that neither of us could nudge the other one out the door before the skies really opened up.

When we arrived at the school, there was a brief break in the rain. As we passed by one building, on our way to the bookstore, I noticed that there was a long bed of ivy paralleling it, one that had been erratically embellished with spray paint.  I first thought it was the product of an art class, but upon a closer view, it looked to be the work of maintenance worker who had time to kill and creative inspiration after labeling various sidewalks around campus.

  1. I would guess that you’re more likely to find painted ivy on a college campus than at any other location. I kind of like it. My wife, however, detests ivy in any form.

  2. I think you’re probably right.
